BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ROGRAMME:

The ASQ Quality Engineering Development Programme (CQE) is specially developed to cultivate workforce proficiency in the principles and practices of Quality Engineering and Management. This course will help to enhance the ability to use quality engineering and management techniques in implementing an effective quality systems or programme in an organization.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the programme, participants would have gained: -

i) Acquire an in-depth knowledge and skills in applying the principles of Quality Engineering and Management in their workplace.

ii) Enhance the ability to use Quality Engineering and Management techniques to implement an effective quality system or programme.

iii) Create opportunities for career advancement and development in Quality Engineering and Management within an organisation.

iv) Prepare them for the Certified Quality Engineering Examination of the American Society for Quality (ASQ).

TARGET AUDIENCE:

This programme is meant for Supervisors, Executives, Engineers and Managers who have a few years working experience in quality, laboratory, reliability and production / manufacturing related field.

FACILITATOR / TRAINER:

Mr. Eddie Kuang, the principal consultant of CQE Training & Consultancy is a graduate from the University Science of Malaysia. He majors in Applied Statistics and Operational Research and Minors in Management.

With more than 22 over years of working experience directly in the Quality discipline, he has served QC/QA, TQM, Quality System and Training position in the electronic components, semiconductors, computer peripherals and automotive manufacturing industries. Besides that, he also invited to conduct training for various manufacturing industries like steel and metal, motor and motorcycle, foods, furniture, oil processing and rubber & plastic products, semiconductor & electronics components, pharmaceutical, computer peripherals and telecommunication. His major accomplishment were in the setting up the ISO 9001/ISO14000/ISO22000/ISO13485/ISO/TS16949 Quality Management System, introduced Total Quality Culture and Function, Six Sigma Black Belt and Green Belt Programmes, Lean Manufacturing System, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Just-In-Time (JIT), Kaizen Improvement Programmes activities in such organizations.

He believes in Competency Based Training (CBT) and promotes these concepts which emphasize the Consistent Application of Skills and Knowledge to Workplace Standards across the Full Range of Conditions.
